Shay Bratland

A member of the transactional law team, Shay started as a law clerk at Jellum in 2022. Since finishing law school and passing the bar, he has been busy expanding his knowledge base of SBA lending by contributing to case after case. With his highly organized manner and attention to detail, Shay has fast become a valued associate to his clients and colleagues.

One of the aspects of SBA lending that Shay most appreciates is the fact that it’s ever-changing. With new rules and polices always on the horizon, he focuses on staying up to date for the benefit of his clients and caseload. A former football player, Shay thrives on being a team player and is motivated by the firm’s culture of collaboration.

Shay enjoys spending time with his fiancée and son, golfing, traveling, and for reasons known only to this South Dakota native, rooting for the Tennessee Titans and Duke Blue Devils.
