James Keig

With a desire to help small businesses grow and prosper, James joined Jellum in 2016 to specialize in SBA lending. His prior legal experience involved representing banks in foreclosures and collections. In bringing his talents to Jellum, James thrives in the ever-changing SBA category and has spent over ten years expanding his expertise in all aspects of SBA transactions, from origination to closing.

James’s focus on detail, preparedness and collaboration serves his clients and colleagues well. As a Partner, he routinely mentors team members and is highly regarded nationwide as an SBA authority. He is actively involved in the government guaranteed lending community and volunteers his time to local and national legal and non-profit groups.

James lives in Minneapolis and loves being part of the vibrant community there. As an avid traveler, James’s most recent quest is to find the world’s best taco – leading him to sample 15 taquerias in Mexico City in one day.
